Truth

transformation Feb 13, 2020

All truth passes through three stages.

First, it is ridiculed.
Second, it is violently opposed.
Third, it is accepted as being self-evident.”
Arthur Schopenhauer

Humans deny reality  as a way to avoid a psychologically uncomfortable truth and protect their constructed sense of self.
Even when new information would lead to greater healing, freedom and empowerment, our survival wiring pushes against things if they challenge our sense of being right and in the know. This blind spot makes us susceptible to destroying the very things which we most greatly seek and separating from those who don’t reinforce our views of reality.

It takes time for the collective consciousness to shift even 1 degree and become comfortable with what is unfamiliar.
There are those who traverse the cutting edge, who are willing to live outside ‘normal reality’ and prioritise expansion over acceptance, over conformity, over praise and all other accolades of society.
To those who understand this aspect of human psychology, they turn towards that which lies outside their comfort zones and learn to jump into the mystery.
